The difference, up close

Drag it. That's the job.

This is a real customer's Ducati 848 EVO — same chain, same day. The before is how it arrived; the after is how it went home. Every bike gets photographed both sides of the detail, so you see exactly what you paid for.

Why Fins

Detailed by someone who actually rides.

Rider owned

I ride a CBR650F daily. I know where road grime hides, what matte paint hates, and why your chain matters. Your bike gets treated like mine.

Premium products

Gyeon, Koch-Chemie, CarPro and Bilt Hamber. pH-neutral chemistry, dedicated motorcycle gear and microfibre only — never dish soap.

A proper process

Every bike follows the same careful order: wheels and chain first, snow foam, contact wash, dry, protect. Matte panels get matte-safe products. No winging it.

I come to you

Mobile across Brisbane's northside. All I need on the day is a tap, a power point and a bit of space to work.

Services & prices

Straight prices. Nothing hidden.

Every package is done by hand, start to finish, by me. Prices are per bike, nothing hidden on the day.

Paint already in good shape? This is all it needs. If it's swirled or marred, I'll point you at Correction & Coat — a coating doesn't remove swirls, it locks them in.

Correction & Coat

$600
per motorcycle — gloss paint only

Matte bikes are welcome — they get a matte-specific process with no polish or gloss products anywhere near them. Heavy chrome or a seriously neglected bike can take extra time, and I'll always tell you before I start, never after. Got more than one bike in the shed? Ask about multi-bike rates when you book.

Refer a mate: $15 off each Send a mate my way and when they book, you both get $15 off your next detail.
Tag me: $10 off Post your freshly detailed bike and tag @fins_bike_detailing. Show me at your next booking for $10 off.

How the mobile service works

I come to you.

Fins is fully mobile and based in Carseldine. Travel is free anywhere within 15 km, which covers most of Brisbane's northside:

AspleyChermsideAlbany CreekStrathpine Bracken RidgeEverton ParkKedronStafford SandgateNorth Lakes+ everywhere between

Further out? No problem — travel is free inside 15 km, 15–30 km adds $20 and 30–50 km adds $35. You'll know the exact amount before you book. Never a surprise on the day.

On the day, all I need is access to a tap, a power point, and a bit of safe, shaded space to work around the bike.

Prefer drop-off? You can still drop your bike to me in Carseldine — just mention it when you book.

My CBR650F — where the obsession started.

Who's doing the work

Started on my own bike. Went all in.

I'm Finlay. I've been detailing since I got my CBR650F — it started as obsessing over my own bike, and over the last few months I've gone all in on making something of it: proper gear, proper products, and a standard I don't drop. I'd rather lose money getting it right than save money doing it half-arsed.

On one of my first jobs I pulled dirt out of the rims the owner didn't even know was there. That's the standard — the bits you can't see from the saddle still count.

"Had a fantastic experience today with Finn. He made the process of a bike detail so simple. Pricing was fantastic. He even explained how to keep my bike looking as fresh as it did. Cannot recommend enough, I will be back."

Tyson — via Google

"10/10 would recommend. I couldn't be happier with the process, the service and the final result. It wasn't too expensive, and when I came back it was like I was getting a brand new bike."

Questions

The stuff people ask.

Mobile or drop-off — how does it work?

Both. I'll come to you anywhere around Brisbane's northside, or you can drop the bike to me in Carseldine. For mobile jobs I just need access to a tap and a power point.

How long does a detail take?

A Maintenance Detail is around an hour, a Pre-Sale Detail around two and a half, a Full Detail around three, and either Decon & Coat around three hours forty-five. Correction & Coat is about six and a half hours — near enough to a full day on the one bike. It depends on the bike and the state it arrives in — the last 10% is the slow part, and it's the part I won't rush.

My bike has matte or satin panels — is that OK?

Yep, and it's taken seriously. Matte panels get matte-safe product only — no gloss products, no clay, never polished. If you want protection there's a dedicated Decon & Coat (Matte) package using Gyeon Q2 Matte EVO, which keeps the flat finish exactly as it is. Mention it when you book and it's handled.

When are you available?

I book Thursday to Sunday. Thursdays and Fridays I start from 8:00 AM, with the last booking going in at 2:30 PM. Weekends I start at 10:00 AM, last booking 3:00 PM. Pick a day and time straight from the calendar below — it only shows slots I can actually do.

Do I need to do anything before you start?

If you can, ride it as little as possible right before — a cool engine and exhaust means I can start straight away. A bit of space and shade around the bike helps too.

Does my bike need to be on a stand?

A stand is ideal but not necessary — it just makes the job a lot easier, especially getting at the wheels and the chain. If you've got one, use it. If not, no problem, the bike's fine on its side stand.
